OCONTO FALLS, WI – NOVEMBER 20, 2017 – Springside Cheese received the silver award for its Aged Cheddar at the World Cheese Awards (WCA) in London, England on November 17, 2017.
More than 3,000 cheeses from all over the world were entered into the 2017 World Cheese Awards. Judges work in teams of four, identifying any cheeses worthy of a bronze, silver or a gold award. They look at the rind and the body of the cheese, its color, texture, consistency and, above all, its taste.
Springside’s Aged Cheddar was previously honored with two silvers and a bronze at the International Cheese Awards and took second place at the American Cheese Society Awards this past July.
